Instagram Worthiness

The internet has definitely become a darling among millennials and younger generations. The rise of Instagram as the ultimate snap sharing platform has help bring a spotlight on the restaurant industry.

As is the case with most social media platforms, the shinier, the better. Thus, photogenic restaurants are definitely going to have an upper hand when it comes to social media interactions. This way, conversations can be started online about the specifics of a particular establishment.

The end-result would probably be increased traffic, higher ratings and a good public image. The best part? All this occurs organically, thus, hits generated are actually authentic. That alone can compel any establishment to spruce up their place.

Add Greenery

Other than simply serving delicacies and letting clients be, restaurants are now looking at ways to improve the scenery by incorporating design elements like greenery and live plants. Having plants in restaurant spaces can help bring out the vibrancy out of any establishment. The incorporation of plants in a restaurant setting can also signal the health benefits eating in such an establishment brings to clients.

Since the world is now adopting an eco-friendly approach, plants can also help clients connect with a restaurant’s state of mind. Plants present restaurant owners with a plethora of options to play with. Numerous plants do well in indoor spaces. In addition, there are innumerable number of flowers and herbs that can help spice up the scent.

Other effective eco-strategies are the use of earth friendly edible oils, recyclable trash, water conservation efforts, buying locally, and using greener cleaning supplies.

Minimalist

There’s a sophistication that comes with keeping things simple. Incredibly, maintaining an aura of simplicity is usually harder than it seems. There are lots of ideas out there about interior décor design that can appeal to the masses. However, the trick lies in getting the perfect mix just right.

A wonderful suggestion to restaurant owners would be to simply pick a theme and stick to it. Old school? Fine. Movie concept? Cool. Futuristic? Amazing. Just pick one! With a minimalistic design, not only do you avoid the clutter, but also, every detail is easily noticeable, thus, everything will seem in tune.

Digital Menu Boards

With digital menu boards, restaurants can appeal beyond the aesthetics of product presentation. Digital menu boards present restaurants with an edge over other establishments thanks to their uniqueness.

All around the country, restaurants are fast phasing out printed posters and menus in favor of digital menu boards. This probably has something to do with increasing operational efficiency and raising the revenues in such establishments.

One would be forgiven for thinking that the appeal of digital menu boards ends there. In truth, digital menu boards are quite handy not just for restaurants but also for clients.

As alluded previously, our sedentary lifestyles dictate just how much time we have to spare away from our busy schedules. Digital menu boards tend to reduce perceived wait time clients spend in line during lunch breaks. Restaurants can not only use digital signage to display the menu, but also interesting trivia questions, fun facts and promotional content.

All these things are possible because digital menu boards are highly configurable, thus, specific sections can be wholly dedicated to displaying such content. By using this strategy, lesser clients are likely to leave an establishment because of lengthy lines. At the same time, such clients may feel compelled to come back a second time due to the fantastic experience they had.

Digital menu boards also facilitate heavy customization of menu items without being strenuous. With posters, production can take numerous weeks before changes are effected, especially when a restaurant operates a lengthy chain of establishments.
